Earthworm Jim – Review

Earthworm Jim on the PSN

The classic game is back and just as great as before. When I first saw that PSN was going to be getting Earthworm Jim (XBLA already had it) I was jumping for joy. I grew up playing Earthworm Jim on Sega so this definately took me back.

Upon downloading it and jumping right in I was so giddy I was like a little school girl. After playing it for awhile all the memories started coming back especially with how hard the game was. i remember it being very difficult the game was growing up and it was equally as hard still. No matter you can play this game over and over again and not get tired of it.

The newest edition to Earthworm Jim besides the HD graphics (which by the way looks incredibly sexy) is the co-op mode which can be played either online or with a friend. So after I did some solo play I decided I should check out the online… lets just say I recommend playing this with 4 people you know and trust not to drop midway through the game. If the host of the game decides to quit you lose all your progress and you will have to start all over, there is no host migration at all which is kind of sad if you ask me. That is my only hang up with the game, they really need to implement some kind of migration if a host decides to quit half way through.

Other than that one hang up I highly recommend this if you were ever a huge fan back in the day….GROOOOOOOOVY!!!
