It is finally official, thanks to this last weekends Videa Game Awards we now have a solid date for the release of Mass Effect 2 on the PlayStation 3. That date is January 18, 2011. While I would of loved to see it released before Christmas I now know what I am going to be buying with my Christmas money and gift cards. Not only that for us PS3 players it was also announced earlier this week that there will be a demo dropping for Mass Effect 2 next week on the PSN. So if you were on the edge of buying this game now you’ll be able to test it and know for sure. I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about a game I’ve never played before.
Just as a refresher as well this is what will come with the PS3 version of the game:
- downloadable content Lair of the Shadow Broker
- DLC Project Overlord
- DLC Kasumi: Stolen Memory and The Blood Dragon Armor
- The Zaeed and Firewalker content will accessible through the Cerberus Network.
Everything that was made available for the Xbox and the PC will be available for us PS3 owners as well.
Mass Effect 2 is out on Xbox 360 and on PC and will be released on PlayStation 3 Jan 18th 2011.
