After word got out that NBA Elite was going to be delayed till who knows when the NBA Jam team went to work on doing everything they could to get us a NBA game for the holiday season. Well it appears they were successful, what was once going to be a downloadable game voucher has turned into EA’s holiday basketball game. EA has finally released the date for the infamous remake to be released that date being November 17th. Will it help EA get back some of those projected losses with delaying NBA Elite only time will tell. Heres what we know so far about the now stand alone basketball game.
- It will cost 49.99 (same price as the wii)
- You’ll be able to play classic 2 vs 2 online
- The remixed tour that was only for the Wii is now for Xbox and PS3 versions
This has me very interested as the only reason I would of even thought about getting NBA Elite was for NBA Jam. I’m glad they didn’t up the price another $10 either and kept it the same price as the Wii version. I am however curious as to what other features they will be adding to the game because based off the little features that have been revealed it doesn’t appear it is much different than what was going to come with the download version.
