Most already knew there was a map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops going live in February for the 360 and most likely in March for everyone else. But we didn’t know anything else besides the names. Today on the Call of Duty: Black Ops Facebook page more was revealed about each of the maps.
This is what we now know:
There will be a total of five new maps, four multiplayer maps and one zombie maps.
The four multiplayer maps are:
- Berlin Wall – Combat on both sides of the imposing wall
- Discovery – A desolate, frozen German outpost in the Arctic
- Kowloon – Battle in the rain along the rooftops of a towering Chinese sprawl
- Stadium – An intense locale with a pro hockey arena backdrop
And the zombie pack has been labeled Ascension where you will get to fight zombies in a Soviet launch facility.
I am looking forward to some fresh maps in the rotation, the ones we are seeing now are starting to get stale and some fresh maps will really do us some good. One of the best things about these maps is that they are all new, unlike the Modern Warfare 2 maps where half were old maps so older players had an advantage. This keeps the playing field relatively even.
